She grew up fishing alongside her Paw-Paw and Maw-Maw, hauling in catfish while the fryer sizzled and the stories grew taller with every telling. Those backyard fish frys were the whole point.
Twenty Years in the Making
She and her husband spent two decades working in restaurants, learning the craft from the inside out. When the moment finally came, they planted roots on historic Main Street in Bastrop and named it after the man who started it all.
Simple Menu, No Shortcuts
Catfish, shrimp, hushpuppies, and the sides that belong with them. All hand-battered fresh when you order. We only serve 100% farm raised American Catfish no shortcuts. Guests who've eaten catfish all over Texas call this some of the best.
